Product Description

NordiK Freeride Center Set 70mm 78a White Longboard Wheels (Set of 4)

The NordiK Freeride Center Set 70mm 78a wheel is the perfect wheel for cruising, and freeriding. This wheel has been a work in progress for over two years. With extensive rider feedback, we feel we have nailed the perfect freeride wheel.

The wheel is center set which promotes even wear, and stone grounded to allow riders to bust out slides as soon as possible. The wheel also sports a dual graphic that gives the rider easy indication which side needs to be flipped when wear is occurring.

The 78a version holds traction when you need it, and is ideal for riders that love freeriding at high speeds.

The wide diameter of 70 mm longboard wheels gives you a significant advantage as a skater. A wider diameter means you can retain your top speed for longer. While a short diameter generates less inertia, and thus accelerates much quicker, it loses its speed as it succumbs to ground friction. On the other hand, a wider diameter accelerates slower from the start but achieves and maintains a much higher speed throughout. This also puts less pressure on your bearings which reduces friction while you skate.

70 mm longboard wheels are much better for skating on uneven surfaces because of their special outside curve. Surfaces with bumps, rocks, crevices, and cracks can pose problems for a short diameter whereas a larger outside curvature can roll over bumpy surfaces more easily. They're also heavier which also adds to their ability to roll over difficult objects and surfaces with ease. This is an important aspect to consider if you skate for long distances or enjoy freeride skateboarding.

Switching to 70 mm longboard wheels will help you tackle those surface obstacles while increasing your overall speed. Improve your performance today for less with the NordiK Freeride Center Set available at Nord on Boards.
