Arbor’s more compact flex-style pin - the Mindstate is a gunny, slightly concaved carver that was developed to deliver a fun, energetic ride and tons of rebound for responsive turning. The new Mindstate is built with 4-plys of sustainably sourced, fiberglass-reinforced Hardrock Maple that delivers memory, return, and ultra-lightweight performance, and a finish ply of sustainably sourced, Hawaiian Koa veneer that adds important pop out of turns, as well as that traditional Arbor style. Koa wood was used by the Hawaiians to build the first surfboards 1,000 years ago. Each deck is gripped with a long-lasting crushed recycled glass. This ultra clear grip surface allows the deck’s natural grain and color to remain highly visible, while providing better performance than silica bead alternatives. Arbor skates are made using an environmentally friendly water-based sanding sealer and finish coat. All wood byproduct created during production is reclaimed for use in other Arbor products or by outside companies. Celebrated lowbrow artist, Blain Fontana created a graphic, for the Mindstate that reflects aspects of the Arbor state of mind.
